DRI Nevada Medal event set for Sept. 26
The Desert Research Institute (DRI) is hosting its DRI Nevada Medal community event, “Women Shaping the Future of Science and Technology” Tuesday Sept. 26.
The special event, hosted Cassie Wilson of KRNV-TV, will introduce three distinguished women shaping the future of science and technology: Dr. Marcia McNutt, President of the National Academy of Sciences; Dr. Kristen Averyt, President of DRI; and Missy Young, Chief Information Officer for Switch.
The special event is slated to begin at 9 a.m. and runs until 10:30 a.m. at DRI’s Reno complex at 2215 Raggio Parkway. The event is sponsored by DRI and The Discovery.

Reno’s median home price jumped to $413,405 in November, a 4 percent increase from the same month a year ago. Meanwhile, across greater Reno-Sparks, November’s median price of $400,000 remained unchanged from October.
