The Nevada State Contractors Board cited two northern Nevada contractors for violations:

First Americans, based of Reno, had its license revoked for contracting beyond the scope of its license, failure to include the license number or monetary limit on a bid or contract, willful disregard of the state’s building laws, failure to maintain a bond, and failure to establish financial responsibility. The company was fined $3,250 and assessed investigative costs.

Shane Robert McGuire, DBA: Irish Green Lawns, based out of Reno, had its license suspended for substandard workmanship, failure to take corrective action, failure to comply with a request from the Board for information or records, willful disregard of the state’s building laws, failure to include the Residential Recovery Fund information on a contract or proposal, failure to include the license number or monetary limit on a bid or contract, contracting beyond the scope of the license, and failure to establish financial responsibility. Licensee was fined $4,350 and assessed investigative costs. A current financial statement must be provided and fines and costs must be paid within 180 days or the license will be revoked.
