Joel Nelson has been promoted to vice president of academic operations for Reno-based Prospect Education, LLC, which owns and operates Charter College campuses in Washington, California and Alaska.
Nelson started working in the career college industry ten years ago, serving as dean of academic affairs and director of student services for another career college. He has also taught several business management classes, including Introduction to business, leadership and business ethics.
Nelson earned his MBA from Morrison University in Reno, and his bachelor’s of arts in history from Lewis and Clark College in Portland.
Terry Reynolds replaces Michael Brown, who Gov. Steve Sisolak named last week as director of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development.
